Dispute Resolution

Arbitration is a form of out-of-court dispute resolution, a private process in which a neutral and independent third party—a sole arbitrator or an arbitral tribunal—is engaged to resolve disagreements between two or more parties.

It is essential that there is always an odd number of arbitrators appointed for each dispute.

Under the Qatar Arbitration Law, an arbitral tribunal typically consists of three arbitrators unless the parties mutually agree to a different arrangement.

At the beginning of the arbitration process, the parties involved enter into an arbitration agreement, thereby committing to abide by the tribunal’s decision.

Throughout the proceedings, arbitrators attentively listen to both sides as they present their arguments, relevant evidence, and testimonies, which form the basis for a binding decision.
